Traveling with Your Baby: Top Products for On-the-Go Parenting

Ok let’s be honest. Traveling without a baby can be daunting enough. Add a little baby in the mix and the game is changed.  But there are a few things that can make travel with a baby easier and less stressful.  Let’s dive in!

Kids are messy. And so are adults!

Always carry wet wipes.  There are few different kinds we always recommend. Baby wipes for diaper changes and general messes.  Think cleaning the peanut butter off their faces… And then disinfectant wipes.  These are for when you arrive at the hotel and you find your baby sucking on the remote control… Been there, done that.  Always carry wipes. They are cheap and light and can fit in any bag.

Water Based Baby Wipes

Perfect for sensitive skin and diaper changes, they are always found in our bags, cars and travel necessities list.

Pack in Travel-Sized containers to make life easier.

Put your lotions, bath washes, creams, moisturizers and anything you use daily into travel sized portions. There are some amazing travel sized containers to be found on Amazon. There is no need to carry full size of anything while traveling. Ditch the weight and travel light. Find containers that work best for you and that are permitted on flights and keep them organized by color, size, user etc.

Llama All Over Lotion Mini is made for traveling.

Wink Well makes amazing All Over lotion in a mini 2 oz tube. These are perfect for travel and diaper bags.  Keep your baby’s skin smooth and healthy even when you’re traveling!

Avoid cheap Hotel Shampoo, conditioners and moisturizers.

Ok not all of them are bad but they’re given away for free because they are cheap and made with cheap ingredients.  Ingredients like fragrance, parabens, sulfates cause damage immediately. Your skin absorbs everything that comes in contact with it. This includes whatever you put on your baby.  We always recommend taking your own personal care products when traveling.  Even one or two times using these yucky ingredients can affect your skin negatively.

Sleep and Noise Makers are a live saver.

If you’re traveling with a baby, new noises, smells, environments can throw off a sleeping schedule fast.  One way to make sure you help your baby sleep is with a noise maker. They are light, cheap and can be traveled with easily.  Kids need help sleeping? Try Wink Well’s Kid’s Sleep Melts. They are super effective at helping your kids get sleep safely. If you’re traveling and crossing time zones, melatonin has been known to help with sleep regulation.
